Rocky Mountain High!!!

Well, we are reconnecting as a family this week, out in one of our favorite places, Colorado. We arrived Friday, and Mason and Scott immed. headed to the Cubs/Rockies game with our friends, Scott Chelf, Tyler and Katie. Even though the Cubs lost, they had a good time. Sat. morn. we headed up to Breckenridge, to the cabin we had rented. Scott, Mary and their three kids joined us until Sun. for a fun weekend in the mountains. Monday, we drove up to the top of Baldy Mountain. It was breathtakingly beautiful. The family pic below was taken up there.

Tues. was an all day white river rafting trip down Brown's Canyon on the Arkansas River. It was a blast!

Today, we left our Breck. cabin and headed towards the Grand Lake area to another cabin, on Columbine Lake. It is beautiful, and very peaceful and serene, no motorized boats allowed on this lake. We went out from our dock on the paddle boat provided and Mason caught a rainbow trout. Scott and Mason cleaned it for an upcoming meal. Allie spotted a mother moose and a calf, near our cabin, while Mason and Mom saw a different momma moose and her two calves, while fishing. They came to the water edge, just at dusk, for a long drink. We are having a wonderful time together enjoying this precious family time! Tomorrow more fishing, some canoeing and some hiking. Stay tuned for more pics.

Looks like you are having a wonderful time. That was great getting to see the moose (s). That was a good size fish Mason caught. Austin will be jealous. Love you all and miss you.
