Tween Room

Well life has been extra busy! On top of putting away all the Christmas "stuff" and getting the kids back in the groove of school . . . we have been redoing Allie and Maggie's room. Gone is the fairy tale princess flowing sheer curtain and beautiful toile print bedding ~ in is the HIP bold colors and chic bedding and accessories! Their room now offers an extra spot for guests too. They have a little love seat that folds out to make a twin bed. We had our first guestS Friday night to take it for a test run. It worked out well. One of the best features of their new "pad" is the magnetic walls! I painted several large sections of their walls with magnetic primer - then I painted the regular paint over the entire room, covering the primer paint and tada - magnetic walls for photos, notes, tic-tac-toe or hangman magnetic games (check our Allie's tic-tac-toe, it's even bright pink and orange- perfect!). The girls are very excited and have been keeping their room extra clean. Let's hope it lasts!
