It was a gorgeous day, on July 4th. We had a great time, packed with poolside games, including relay races, greased watermelon (in the pool!), the annual coin toss (in the pool), a water balloon fight and a dunking machine, just to name a few. This was followed by dinner, on the patio . . . then ending with fireworks, on the driving range! We missed all the family that usually participates in our 4th, as many were traveling this year ~ but we still enjoyed time with Bret & Ang. and the boys and many good friends.
The hula-hoop contest is always a favorite with the kids. Allie was the Hula Queen this year! She won every contest they threw her way. I guess she was well rested, after sitting on the sidelines of the pool all week, nursing the stitches in her foot. As you can see, she even did multiple hoops!
