Back to Reality!

Well, we have returned from our almost two-week stay in Florida. We had a wonderful time, beautiful weather and a great visit with Kim's parent's and her brother, Brad and his family. How quickly we were thrown back into the "real life", cooking, laundry, car pooling, the office and for the kids, not just school but - it's acheivement testing week - yek!! We are all reenergized and ready to get back to all the routines of daily life. We are hoping to soon have some spring weather to help us adjust back to Illinois. I am still trying to get unpacked, caught up on mail, groceries, kid's school assignments and setting schedules for spring and summer activities. The blog has been a bit neglected. I will post a few more pictures of our trip in the upcoming days, including some beach fun and pool games. Stay tuned!

Easy Riders!!! . . . This crew was soaking up some Florida sunshine on one of our first days after arriving in the great sunshine state. A new paved bike trial which travels from Sarasota (starting about a rocks throw from my parent's place) to Venice, approx. 15 miles south just opened this spring. It follows an old railroad track. Scott, Dad and the three kids enjoyed their ride, even though they only made it a couple of miles. They had to come back for a much needed swimming break!
