This past week Scott had a seminar to attend in Chicago on Thurs. and Fri. The kids had those two days off school for a teachers conference ~ perfect ~ we all headed to Chicago for a couple of days. We did a lot of shopping for fall wear, as the kids have all outgrown everything! New jeans, jacket, shoes for the whole bunch. We ate at some awesome restaurants and enjoyed the time away, just being together. Our favorite time was Thurs. night. We rode the metro train out to Elmhurst and visited with Scott's nephew Matt, his wife Laura and their darling little girl, Anna, who turned 2 last week. We enjoyed a great meal together and then the kids helped Anna bathe . . . what a treat! The time was short but very sweet. Matt and Laura are expecting baby no. 2 in about 4 weeks. We are excited from them!
We arrived home late Fri. eve, in time for a Sat. morning basketball game for Allie and Mason's last football game that afternoon. We are doing a major fall clean up around here, preparing for Allie's class party this coming Friday. We are looking forward to a great time with the 6th graders.
